Newkirk Main Street is once again hosting the Children’s Christmas Shop, this Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 10 AM – 3 PM, at 116 North Main. The event gives children the chance to shop by themselves (with assistance from our elves) for their whole family. The Marland Children’s Home is needing help with Christmas presents for 257 foster children in the area and Heather Cannon Honda would like to help. Good luck to the Tonkawa Bucs, who play for a State Football Championship Thursday night when they play Heritage Christian. Kickoff is 7 o’clock at Stillwater High School. Before the game, from 4:30 ’til 6. Bucs fans are invited to take part in a tailgate party where you can purchase hot dogs, chips and water for $3….or cheeseburger, chips and water for $6. The Blackwell Music Boosters invite you to their annual “Mingle ‘n’ Jingle”, an evening featuring dinner and entertainment, on Sunday December 16th in the Kay Room of Kay Electric in Blackwell. Dinner will be served at 6, followed by entertainment at 6:30, and tickets are just $25. Santa’s mailbox is open now through Monday December 17th, outside of the Ponca City Senior Center at 319 W Grand Ave. If you send a letter with a self addressed stamped envelope, Santa will even send you a letter back.
