Michael Ray has released the video for his latest single, “One That Got Away.” The clip was shot in Miami and tells the story of a tired tourist who thinks he’s seen it all until an unlikely companion shows him there’s more to Miami than the flash of South Beach.

Michael said, “We wanted to treat Miami as its own character in this video because we felt that this city really had a personality and an energy of its own — reminiscent of the energy I feel on stage night-after-night, city-after-city when we play this song live. I also wanted to get outside of my comfort zone. So, we flew down to Miami and what you see in this video was really us –experiencing all these things together; really just being in the moment.”

“One That Got Away” features a cast of Miami locals.

Michael is on the road, wrapping up summer with the last of his fair and festival dates. He tells us exclusively that he's a big fan of playing these outdoor dates for more than a couple reasons. “I love 'em. I think they're awesome, just the artists they put on. For the fans, there's some artists you might not ever see together and those festivals create it. I love the fact that when you go to a festival you unplug. You have guys that might run million dollar businesses, women that run million dollar . . . all this stuff. You don't know who you're camping next to but for that three days everybody's equal. Everybody's there for country music and to make memories and to laugh and cut up and I feel like everybody unplugs and it's just a whole nother vibe of a concert.”

This fall, Michael hits the road playing direct support to Old Dominion on their Happy Endings World Tour.
