A “family emergency” forced Lauren Alaina to cancel her planned concert in Rochester, NY last night (Wednesday, August 29th). The radio station promoting the show shared the news on social media writing, “Due to a family medical emergency @Lauren_Alaina will not be appearing Wednesday night . . . Stop by . . . and sign the huge card which we will forward onto Lauren and her family.”
While Lauren hasn't elaborated on the emergency, earlier this year she shared the news that her stepfather, Sam Ramker, had been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer.
Earlier this week, Lauren was nominated for New Artist of the Year at the upcoming CMA Awards. She wrote on social media, “God always shines some light in a time of darkness. It’s been a tough week for my family, but this brightened everything up a little. Thank you to all the people who made this nomination possible. You know who you are.”
Lauren continues on tour with Jason Aldean. They play Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Friday, September 7th.
