Kane Brown‘s originally scheduled concert for Friday (October 16th) at Staples Center in Los Angeles has been postponed until January 9th in the wake of Brown's drummer's tragic death over the weekend. Kenny Dixon was killed in a single car accident outside of Nashville on Saturday (October 12th).
Billboard reports that fans can hang onto their originally purchased tickets and they will be honored on January 9th. The concert is part of Staples Center's yearlong celebration of the arena's 20th anniversary.
Yesterday (Tuesday, October 14th), Brown tweeted, “I want to thank everyone for your outpouring of support and understanding and working with us as we reschedule the @STAPLESCenter 20th Anniversary show that was scheduled for October 18, 2019. The new show date will be January 9, 2020 – thank you for your thoughts and prayers.”
In other news, The Tennessean reports that speed caused the crash that killed Dixon. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Dixon was traveling at a high rate of speed shortly after midnight when his car ran off the highway and hit a tree head-on.
