Dan + Shay's latest single, “Speechless,” is flying up the charts. It's the followup to their chart-topping hit, “Tequila,” and as Dan Smyers tells us, it holds a special place in their hearts. “'Speechless' is one of our favorite songs on the entire record and it was actually the last song that we wrote for the project. We thought we were done writing for it and that's kinda how it always goes. You write that song at the end that comes in and changes your world. We went and cut that songs and it just turned out so special. For me, being a producer on it, listening to Shay sing it was just mind blowing. We were in the studio and it's such an impressive vocal part. Not a lot of people can sing that so we kinda kept the production on it stripped back and let that vocal really be exposed. That was a fun one to produce. We kinda tried to make it sound like a September day in New York City and capture that kind of vibe. If you listen very carefully, there's actually a light rain sample through the entire track that gives a little bit of warmth and vibe to it.” . The inaugural Seven Peaks Festival was founded by Dierks Bentley and will feature performances by Miranda Lambert, Brothers Osborne, Elle King, LANCO, Del McCoury, Sam Bush and The Cadillac Three, to name a few.
