In addition to their success on both the country and pop charts these days, Dan + Shay are growing their collection of industry awards, most recently taking home Vocal Duo and Song and Single of the Year for "Tequila" at the ACM Awards last month. Those awards are voted on by Shay Mooney and Dan Smyers' peers, sometimes the same people they're competing against in the category, but as Shay tells us, there's no sense of competition because in his opinion, there's room for everyone. ["Every artist, I think, in country music would tell you that it takes so much to get here. It's not, 'Man, I want to beat this other duo.' It's 'these are my friends and we all put a lot of work to get where we are right now.' I think there's room for success for every single artist. I think there's room for all of us and instead of trying to kick each other on the way up the ladder I think that we need to help each other up and come around and support each other and whoever it is no matter what category you fit in the country music family I think we need to lift each other up, cause we all know how hard it was to get here."] SOUNDCUE (:32 OC: . . . to get here.)

Dan + Shay have earned a pair of nods at the upcoming CMT Music Awards for their hit, "Speechless." The fan-voted awards show will air live from Nashville on June 5th at 8 p.m. ET.
