Carrie Underwood was the big winner at last night's (Wednesday, June 5th) fan-voted CMT Music Awards, taking home two trophies for Female Video for "Love Wins" and overall Video of the Year for "Cry Pretty." She also turned in an award-worthy performance of her new single, "Southbound," live from outside The Parthenon in Nashville surrounded by screaming fans.

This year's CMT Awards boasted more performances than any show before, which included Little Big Town and Thomas Rhett opening the show with a collaboration on "Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time," a song they recorded for Thomas' brand new album, Center Point Road; Sheryl Crow and Maren Morris dueting on Sheryl's new single, "Prove You Wrong'; Tanya Tucker, Brandi Carlile, Trisha Yearwood, Lauren Alaina, Carly Pearce, Martina McBride, RaeLynn and Deana Carter joining Tanya on her hit song "Delta Dawn"; Keith Urban taking on his new single "We Were"; and Luke Combs closing the show with "Beer Never Broke My Heart."

The CMT Awards, hosted by Little Big Town, serves as the unofficial kickoff to CMA Music Fest, which gets underway today (Thursday, June 6th) in downtown Music City.

Thank you so much for all that you do for me. Fans. Thank you so much. I saw you guys. I saw you guys doing the Twitter parties and, like, getting together and doing your thing and voting. None of us would be able to do any of what we do if it's not for you guys. You guys put us here. You guys keep us going. You guys let us live out our dreams and I hope that we can give a fraction of that back to you every once in a while. So thank you so much. God bless you guys. CMT, thank you so much. ["Wow. This is absolutely crazy, man. I remember Dan and I coming to this award, I think we snuck in a couple times. I just want to thank God for the opportunity to be able to be up here and to wake up next to the real stars of the video, our wives over here. Hannah and Abby. Y'all give it up for them. We have a lot of great people in our lives and a lot of people that made this happen and we're so thankful to be standing here on this stage. Thank you, guys, to the fans. This is absolutely incredible."] SOUNDCUE (:30 OC: . . .This is absolutely incredible.)

In clip three, Zac Brown Band accept the Group Video Award.

["We're so grateful that… We get our award every night when we get to show up and do what we love. And no one has ever owned enough of our career to give us their trophies and accolades but that's not how we measure our success. This award is for all of you, my band, and all the outsiders that waited through everyone's doubts. For you young artists, have the courage to stand up against the machine, be yourself, work hard and one day you can stand up here and tell all the haters to… off."] SOUNDCUE (:33 OC: . . .all the haters to… off.)
